Signed into law in March 2010, the Affordable Care Act reformed the way health insurance is applied for, purchased and administered. Health insurance has never been more confusing and consistently changing as it is today.
At this time Gordon Brown Insurance does not offer these products. If you are in need of health insurance please call the Marketplace at 1-855-788-6275.

If you have ever experienced an injury or illness requiring a hospital stay, you know just how expensive it can be - even after major medical insurance pays its share. Hospital inpatient care accounts for nearly a third of U.S. health care costs and there's no relief in sight. The average length of a hospital stay is 4.6 days at a cost of $11,000.*
Hospital Indemnity is a type of policy that is designed to pay a fixed amount: per day, per week, per month or lump-sum cash benefit for a hospital stay that usually pays directly to you. A trip to the hospital can be stressful enough not to mention the bills that come after the stay is over. Even though you may have major medical insurance you will still be responsible for co-payments, deductibles, other non-related expenses as in lost income, family expenses while traveling back and forth from the hospital, daycare, etc. This type of insurance can help you recover some of those expenses with fewer worries. Hospital Indemnity does not replace your major medical plan nor is it considered "Minimum Essential Coverage" to be considered major medical. This pays in addition to your health insurance/ ACA plan or your Medicare Plan.
